Human Trafficking Awareness Month

In 2014, Governor Kasich designated all Child Advocacy Centers in the State of Ohio as first responders of minor victims of human trafficking and shortly following this designation The Children’s Center of Medina County in Partnership with Rape Crisis of Medina and Summit Counties created the Medina County Coalition Against Human Trafficking. Since 2014 we have created much needed awareness in Medina County about Human Trafficking and as we think about victims during January Human Trafficking Awareness Month we realize there is much more work needed to create more awareness to help our children to stay safe and not become victims of human trafficking. We hope that you will join us or one of the many trainings available this month or attend our Coalition meeting to learn more and to learn more about how you can help. We can not help victims of human trafficking without your help and support.

Thank you,
Rhonda Wurgler, MPA
