Ways to Give

The Children’s Center of Medina County relies on the generous support of individuals, families, churches, civic groups, and businesses to provide life-changing services to children and families affected by abuse or neglect. Your financial support plays a vital role in helping us offer a safe, child-focused environment where healing can begin.

There are many meaningful ways to give. Every single gift, no matter the size or method, helps provide critical resources. Whether you’re making a one-time donation, setting up a recurring gift, contributing to our Endowment Fund, or recommending a grant through a Donor Advised Fund, your support ensures that children in our community have access to the compassionate care and trauma-informed services they need.

However you choose to give, we are deeply grateful. Your contribution is more than a donation – it’s an investment in healing, in hope, and in a brighter tomorrow.

INVEst in healing that lasts: Our endowment fund

The Children’s Center of Medina County established a permanent endowment in 2024, The Children’s Center of Medina County Fund, through the Medina County Community Foundation to ensure that children and families affected by abuse and neglect can receive the support they need – today, and for generations to come.

An endowment is a lasting investment in our mission. Gifts to The Children’s Center of Medina County Fund are carefully managed and invested, with the earnings providing a steady and reliable source of income. Generally, the charity spends from the investment return earned by the endowment’s investment assets, which preserves the value of the underlying principal. This consistent funding helps sustain our core programs, expand services, and respond to the evolving needs of our community – no matter what the future holds.

The Medina County Community Foundation has a long-standing commitment to strengthening our community by connecting donors with causes that matter. Through our partnership with the Foundation, we can ensure that every gift to our Endowment Fund is stewarded with transparency, care, and long-term impact.

FLEXIBLE GIVING, LASTING IMPACT: sUPPORT US THROUGH A dONOR aDVISED fUND

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple and tax-efficient way to support the mission of The Children’s Center of Medina County—now and in the future. Think of it as a charitable investment account, created for the sole purpose of supporting nonprofits like ours. You contribute to your DAF, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to The Children’s Center and other qualified charities at your convenience.

Whether you choose to recommend a one-time grant or set up recurring gifts, your support helps children and families in Medina County access healing, hope, and critical services when they need them most.

How DAFs Work:

  • You open a DAF through a sponsoring organization such as a financial institution or community foundation.

  • You contribute cash, securities, or other assets to the fund and receive an immediate tax deduction.

  • The funds can be invested for long-term growth.

  • You recommend grants to The Children’s Center of Medina County whenever you’re ready, whether today or in the years to come.

By giving through your DAF, you can sustain your charitable giving over time, involve your family in philanthropy, or make a meaningful impact when it matters most.

If you already have a DAF, you can recommend a grant today and help us continue creating a safe and supportive place for children to begin healing.
