Thank you to the individuals, businesses, and organizations that donated their time, talent, and resources to help make the Pinwheel Walk such a wonderful event!

Huntington National Bank brought their treat truck full of cool treats which were extra delicious on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon. Everyone loved getting a photo with Super Heroes to Kids in Ohio.

How great did the Historic Medina Square look decked out in the amazing ballon creations from Bubbles & Bows, LLC?

EnchantaRoo Face and Body Art made a lot of kids’ day with her artistic creations.

The Girl Scout Silver Award Project by Kendall Fritz and Liza Minichello put together a thought-provoking display to educate our community on challenging myths about sexual assault.

Thank you Minnehaha for the waters to keep everyone hydrated and healthy.

We are grateful for volunteers, David and Toula Barlow, who marked the locations for the 696 Pinwheels to be planted. Aidan Fisher; John, Liza, and Dominic Minichello; and Katie Fritz helped prep the garden and, along with The Children’s Center Staff, set up the event. Thank you to Carol Rhodes for making the Child Abuse Prevention Ribbons and Charlcie Towne for helping at registration.

Thank you to Mayor Dennis Hanwell, Commissioner Steve Hambley, Commissioner Colleen Swedyk, and Commissioner Bill Hutson for their Proclamations recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Debbie Kiley shed some light on the issue of Child Abuse in Medina County and the partnerships between agencies and organizations to ensure children have what they need to heal. The Medina Auxiliary Police helped everyone stay safe on the walk.

A very special thank you to Shana Pryor for bravely sharing her experience of abuse.

Pinwheel Garden at Medina Library
The Medina Public Library has been a wonderful host and a fantastic location for the Pinwheel Garden.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the staff and Board of Directors at The Children’s Center who worked together for many months to make this a successful event, and the supportive community that came to spend a beautiful day raising awareness for children to be safe, healthy, and full of joy.

Thank you all so much!
