Sponsored Pinwheel Gardens

As the warmth of spring arrives, Pinwheel Gardens will begin appearing across Medina County, serving as a visible and hopeful reminder of our shared commitment to child abuse prevention. These Gardens symbolize a community united in protecting children, strengthening families, and breaking the cycle of abuse.

This April, in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month, The Children’s Center of Medina County invites individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations to take part in a county-wide Pinwheel Garden Project—a simple yet powerful way to raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations about child safety.

Pinwheel Gardens: A Powerful Symbol for Child Abuse Prevention

The blue pinwheel is the nationally recognized symbol for Child Abuse Prevention, representing the carefree, joyful childhood every child deserves. When you plant a Pinwheel Garden, you are making a visible statement of support for child abuse awareness and prevention in Medina County.

Pinwheel Gardens placed in front yards, schools, businesses, and community spaces help:

  • Raise awareness about child abuse and neglect
  • Encourage prevention-focused conversations
  • Show community-wide support for children and families

Each garden is a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility.

How You Can Get Involved: Pinwheel Garden Sponsorship

Community members are invited to support Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention in Medina County by sponsoring a Pinwheel Garden.

With a $100 Pinwheel Garden sponsorship, you will receive:

  • One dozen blue pinwheels
  • A yard sign showing your support for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention

Your sponsorship helps The Children’s Center of Medina County continue its work to engage the community, educate caregivers, and provide critical services that support children and families. Pinwheel Gardens in visible locations serve as daily reminders that every child deserves to be safe, loved, and protected.

If you cannot place a Pinwheel Garden at your location, we invite you to donate so that a community organization can receive a Pinwheel Garden. The opportunity to make a donation to the Pinwheel Garden Project is available on the sponsorship form.
