This evening changes lives. Healing Hearts: An Evening of Hope & Inspiration brings together the people of Medina County for a night of inspiration, hope, and generosity – because every child deserves to find their pathway to healing.
Featured Speaker: Tori Petersen
Tori Hope Petersen is the bestselling author of her memoir “Fostered” and her second book “Breaking the Patterns That Break You.” Tori is a sought-after National speaker and Bible teacher.
Tori is known for her compassionate voice on the topic of healing juxtaposed with her fierce advocacy work for the most vulnerable. She has advocated before Congress, the Ways and Means committee, consulted White House policy staff and has collaborated across party lines to create better outcomes for children experiencing foster care and adoption.
At home, she is a wife, biological mom, and foster mom who enjoys cooking with her children. With a deep value for family, community, and hospitality, Tori and her family love to make extra food for whoever might stop by.

Healing Hearts is the only fundraising event in 2026 for The Children’s Center of Medina County. Every ticket purchased, bid placed, and dollar raised on October 23 plays a vital role in supporting our mission—providing compassionate, coordinated services to children and families in Medina County who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
More than 37% of our annual funding comes from events like this. Your participation helps ensure every child has access to the support and healing they deserve.

It is so important to have Child Advocacy, Family Visitation, Court-Appointed Special Advocates, and Anti-Human Trafficking Services available in Medina County – and for the children and families needing these services to know that a loving community is here to support them.
The Children’s Center of Medina County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Medina, Ohio that provides trauma-informed services — including a Child Advocacy Center, Foster Care Visitation, CASA Volunteer Advocacy, and Human Trafficking awareness and education — to children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
