We are thrilled to announce a new partnership that will support children receiving the services needed to heal from abuse and neglect in Medina County. Introducing The Giving Place, a new resale shop where purchases and donations will benefit The Children’s Center of Medina County. This collaboration aims to provide support, resources, and hope to children on their journey to healing. By shopping at the resale shop, you will find great deals while extending a helping hand to children.
How the Partnership Works
The Giving Place, located in the shopping center near Marc’s, is a nonprofit resale store offering household items, furniture, clothing, decorations, and more. Any profit made from the store will benefit The Children’s Center of Medina County and other county nonprofit organizations. Stephanie Furey, Angel Kiefer, and Joanne Guaye decided to start The Giving Place in mid-January to give back to the local community. Their vision is to make an impact through the donations they collect and sell, to the nonprofit organizations in our own backyard!
Supporting Children Healing from Abuse
Proceeds from sales at The Giving Place are put back into the community through local nonprofit organizations that help support families. As they select nonprofits, they are prioritizing organizations that address childhood trauma, adult and elder abuse, the creation of safe spaces, new beginnings, and end-of-life care. The Children’s Center of Medina County is their first selected beneficiary.
